Berdina was lost from her foster home and was missing for a year (below are just a few of the many posts about the search). She was found and was subsequently adopted by our friend who loved her dearly. Sadly, our friend and Berdina’s owner passed away suddenly last week.
So, we are working to find her a foster or forever home as soon as possible. She’s a sweet, spayed pit bull mix about 3-4 years old, and about 40 pounds. She would be happiest as an only dog in a household with no kids. With a stable home and gentle guidance, you’ll really see her personality shine. We think you’ll love her as much as we do!
In her short life Berdina has been abandoned at a shelter, fostered, lost, recovered, adopted, and then had a happy year as part of a family. She’s had some ups and downs, but she has a lot of love to give!

Poor Berdina. It appears that every April, her life changes dramatically. Lost in April, found in April, adopted in April, loses family in April. Hopefully, this April will bring her a new forever home where she won’t have to feel abandoned again.
